By accessing and using ZenVault ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ZenVault provides a secure environment variable and secrets management platform for development teams. The Service includes workspace management, project organization, end-to-end encrypted secrets storage, CLI tools, and related features.
3. Account Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
3.2 Account Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
4.1 Plans
ZenVault offers multiple subscription plans (Free, Pro, Team) with different features and limitations as described on our pricing page.
4.2 Payment
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- All fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for any partial subscription periods or unused time.
- You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
5.1 Permitted Use
The Service is intended for legitimate development and business purposes.
5.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited messages
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Store illegal content or content that violates third-party rights

We implement industry-standard security measures, including end-to-end encryption for secrets. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your master password.
6.3 Backups
While we maintain regular backups, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data. We are not liable for data loss.

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by ZenVault and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.
8. Disclaimers and Limitations
8.1 Service Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Service.
8.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZenVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZenVault from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account:
- For violation of these Terms
- For fraudulent or illegal activity
- For non-payment of fees
- At our discretion with or without notice
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We may delete your data after account termination.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ZenVault operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of a recognized arbitration association, except where prohibited by law.
